29 września 2008 - Bucuresti, Romania – Uzina de Reparatii Altelierele Centrale (‘URAC’). This is an amazing place - the RATB central bus and tram workshops. Here they do everything, from building new vehicles, to repairs and overhauls, to scrapping. Many of the buildings were originally built for horse trams. Three little tram shunting locomotives are used to move vehicles around the site – the staff call them ‘donkeys’, which is quite a good description for the work they do.
