5 czerwca 2009 - Liege (BE) – museum Natalis. Surviving trams from the system in Aachen/Aix-la-Chapelle (DE), which closed down in 1974, are kept here as there is no suitable place in their home city, just over the Belgian border. Long tram lines once ran between several towns and villages in the district, very similar to the network in Silesia, although metre gauge. This typical ‘grossraumwagen’ dates from 1956. Similar trams still run in Gmunden (AT), which I think is now the only place you will find them.

Just becasue they are, I guess - remember, this is quite a small tram by modern standards.
