Why are the buses and trolleybuses in Minsk in so many different colours - maybe each colour is related to some definite routes?
No Standart color: city bus - green, suburban bus - white and green line, trolleybus - lime (only 420 - red). Trolleybuses "white", "white and lime", "white and blue" are old standart. Any other color (white, crimson, blue, yellow) for bus is not standart, but there are in Minsk
But finally, why do these yellow buses, not in standard colours, appear?
Part 1: some years ago Minsk had budget surpluses and as a rule spend this money to additional buses, trolleybuses and road building. Typically, additional buses have different color: white, crimson, blue, yellow... Minsk did not spend money on repainting them in green.
Part 2: in 2008, Kiev ordered the buses (MAZ is winner of the tender for 80 pieces 15m buses - MAZ-107). But the crisis began, and Kiev was unable to pay the request. I think this bus from Kiev order. Minsk bought these buses at a discount and did not repaint.
I don't like only one color (no difference - green, yellow or any other). I like to see different color of buses
It is normal in ex-soviet union that painting depends on type for example: almost all Bogdans A092 are yellow, Liaz 5256 are white or in mosgortrans livery, MAZes are comonly yellow, green (105, 205)or silver
Every manufacturer has default color, but our cities as a rule haven't got personal color scheme and don't order buses in it. They get buses in default color of manufacturer.
