28 września 2008 - Constanta, Romania - Strada Zorelelor: Constanta tramways opened in 1984, the same time as several other Romanian cities because Government decree required them, often to link housing areas to heavy industry. The Constanta system comprised just two routes and was equipped with a number of URAC-designed V3A trams built by the Electrocomputere works in Craiova. These cars carried quite large numbers of passengers, but were crude in design and not particularly popular, so were later joined by some ex-Berlin surplus Tatra KT4-D trams. Here, a V3A nears the city terminus of Line 102, which overlooked the Black Sea and the beach.
