31 maja 2006 - Latvia, Daugavpils - Ventspils iela: Two of the iconic RVZ-6 trams that made up over half the fleet until quite recently. This city was, until 1994, the nearest thing to an authentic Russian tramway to be seen to the west of the Iron Curtain, running Russian-type trams on the Russian track gauge in a largely Russian speaking city not far from the Russian border. These particular trams were built nearby in Riga - they did not normally run in multiple in normal service but this is a special trip for enthusiasts. As you can see, the weather was a bit Russian, too.

In Poland we would say that this is a typical English weather and the RVZ trams did actually run in two-car sets, but only between 0700 and 1700 hrs on workdays and Saturdays.
