31 maja 2006 - Daugavpils (LV) – Daugavas iela. The newest tram in Daugavpils is this solitary Type KTM-8K. I assume more of these would have been delivered here after 1994, if Latvia had not broken away from Russia. Anyway, now they prefer second-hand Tatras, it seems. So it remains unique. Note the trolley rope hanging down loosely at the side – a typical arrangement.

31 maja 2006 - Latvia, Daugavpils - Jatnieku iela: When the Iron Curtain was dismantled in 1994, Daugavpils had just obtained this single KTM-8K tram from a Russian builder, probably planning to buy more, but it remained unique in the fleet and is used in normal service. Here it is seen after just leaving the depot, heading towards the town centre.
