| Inne informacje | Yorkshire Rider was a major bus operator in Leeds and the surrounding area of Yorkshire. It was formed in 1986 by the West Yorkshire Public Transport Executive (PTE) to create an arms length company. In October 1988 it was privatised. In the summer of 1989 they purchased the depots in Leeds and Bradford of West Yorkshire Road Car. In 1990 Yorkshire Rider purchased a number of companies based in York, these formed Rider York. In 1994 Yorkshire Rider became part of the Badgerline Group and in June 1995 the group became FirstBus. Following the forming of FirstBus, Yorkshire Rider was reorganised into four seperate operations in September 1995, which saw the end of Yorkshire Rider. These were: Bradford Traveller (Bradford). From 1998 this was known as First Bradford. Calderline (Halifax, Todmordon). From 1998 this was known as First Calderdale. Kingfisher Huddersfield (Huddersfield, Kirklees). From 1998 this was known as First Huddersfield. Leeds City Link (Leeds). From 1998 this was known as First Leeds. All of these companies have traded as First West Yorkshire since 2009. | |||
