12 sierpnia 1998 - Milano, Italy - Affiori. The Limbiate and Desio interurbans, known as the Brianza lines, are two survivors of a once extensive system around Milano, some electric and some worked by steam. The lines are now operated by the city tramways and have been steadily cut back until they no longer run into the centre of the city, but terminate in the outer suburbs. The service also runs only at peak times and the lines are unlikely to last much longer. Trains of three or more of these 1950s ‘blocatti’ high-floor motors and trailers are normal.

Yes, everything the same - but of course the Peter Witt trams (1929) are fabulous. These interurbans will probably close soon (although, being Italy, they have been saying that for years and done nothing!). More pics another day.....
