20 lutego 2018 - Mendoza, Pellegrini - 25 de Mayo. The light rail (`Metrotranvia`) in Mendoza commenced operations in 2012, as one of the first modern LRT systems in South America. The system was built under a low-cost scheme - without any significant infrastructural investments (such as grade-separated crossings), using refurbished rails, simple single-wire catenary, and second-hand Duewag trains purchased from the U.S. city of San Diego. The line entirely follows a former railroad right-of-way.
