27 sierpnia 2011 - Poznań, Forteczna street tram depot. The "Moderus Tatrus" (as we like to call it) is a heavily rebuilt Tatra RT6N1 from Prague, which was delivered to MPK Poznań in lieu of the original vehicle no. 405, which currently is probably lying around in pieces somewhere in the Modertrans workshops. The 405" as one should probably call it is seen here shortly after delivery from Modertrans and is awaiting a chance to perform some test runs before being formally handed over to the MPK.

As you can see in the picture, due to the lack of space in the depot they utilise the siding in the street outside the depot down to the last few centimetres...

10 kwietnia 2011 - Choisy-le-Roi near Paris, Av. Jean Jaures. A slightly old but still quite dynamic Agora has just crossed the Seine on its way to the RER Antony station. The RATP had grand designs for the TVM route, which runs mainly along segregated busways. It was here that Translohr and Bombardier tested its hybrid single-rail solutions, but fortunately, RATP stuck with conventional buses and drivers which know what the gas pedal is there for.

The N8 barely made it here - the brakes locked-up as it was going through the rail underpass in Oliwa, and the driver got here only by manipulating the main safety fuse at around 10mph.

2 sierpnia 2011 - Calcutta, Dufferin Road. And this is what the newest modernised vehicle looks like - built partially from plexiglass and with slightly more modern seats. Under the floor though it`s a vehicle built at best around 1983, using pre-war technology. Not to mention the plexi windows make you feel like you`re in a greenhouse inside. Nothing like a well-done modernisation, eh?

Yeah, I`m really sorry for all the cars in the shot, but hell - couldn`t have done it any other way :P Train no. 12 on run no. 12 has almost reached the Vohwinkel loop. Most of the Schwebebahn route runs over the river Wupper - only the last few stations in the west of the city are above a street.

Fortunately, this is one of the safest railway systems in the world - the only fatal accident since the railway opened in 1901 happened in 1999 when a train derailed on a piece of scaffolding left by track workers and plunged into the river below.

10 sierpnia 2008 - Dubrovnik, Vatroslava Lisinskog. I tym zdjęciem żegnamy Dubrownik, udając się już na naszego Croatiabusa (czteroosiowy, napakowany do granic możliwości Megaliner – nie polecam!). Generalnie fajne miasto, ale skoro już chcą mieć wsiadanie tylko z przodu, to niech sobie załatwią odpowiednie ku temu autobusy! To co, że firma kupuje śliczne nowe MANy, jak do środka wchodzi się tylko POŁÓWKĄ pierwszych drzwi… Dlaczego nie postawiono na kupno taboru i systemu biletowego (karty magnetyczne potrzebujące ok. 2 sekund na skasowanie) dostosowanego do potrzeb przedsiębiorstwa? Do tego jeszcze cienkie rozkłady (pokazujące tylko czasy odjazdu na krańcach) i kompletne rozregulowanie częstotliwości ze względu na wsiadanie z przodu… Ech ten ślepy pęd do nowoczesności…

Po I Wojnie centrum Croydon było strasznym slumsem, więc włodarze dzielnicy (podówczas jeszcze miasteczka pod Londynem) postanowili wybudować wśród ślicznych wzgórz osiedle. W latach 30. ustanowiono coś, co Brytyjczycy nazywają „Green Belt” – zielony pas wokół Londynu, gdzie zakazano stawiania nowych budynków. Władze dogadały się jedynie na lekkie powiększenie osiedla. Dzisiaj panuje tam czysty surrealizm – z jednej strony bloki, z drugiej pola golfowe i pośrodku tramwaj, który znacznie usprawnił dojazd stąd do centrum Croydon.
