Nice photo What it is also interesting, both of vehicles have electronic displays from the same domestic producer. The Cyrillic was also tested on GSP buses, in combination with Latin script http://www.dodaj.rs/f/2P/ot/4qEmuWCD/img1452-large.jpg , but also individually http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/6852/940o.jpg finally they move back to the Latin script, don't ask me for the reason, because I don't know. By the way, GSP is breaking the law having the buses in traffic without frontal destination display. According to the our regulations, every vehicle must have electronic or canvas display, showing not only the line number, but also the destination terminus of the line. The regulations also include side and back displays (only the line number is obligatory). Anyway, from many older buses the canvas displays were removed, due to lack of maintenance, and installed new type of the plastic indicators http://i896.photobucket.com/albums/ac161/sunce1/aPicture1020.jpg However, in order to fulfill the regulations, just formally, off-course, GSP has started marking they buses with simple A4 papers http://www.dodaj.rs/f/3A/6H/1DZvD9yk/slika8839.jpg which has gone too far marking the buses with working electronic displays with papers, even the new buses http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/1299/p2160010n.jpg :S
I saw this... Condition of GSP buses is horrible. I saw these papers also. But this law is obligatory? In Poland is similar regulation but is not obligatory as far I remember.
These regulations don't say anything about which alphabet should be used?
In constition is written: Official alphabet for Serbia is cyrillic but other alphabets are also allowed.
Papers instead displays: http://yu.phototrans.eu/14,575404,0,Ikarbus_IK103_48.html
In the country where that trolleybus was manufactured we have a similar situation with Belorussian/Russian
To be honest, if you didn't mentioned that some displays are in the cyrillic and other in the latin alphabet, I wouldn't notice that or most of the people just don't care, they don't even think about. Strangers often notice this, and writing in their blogs and forums, etc. Anyway, back to the regulations, if someone is interested "Odluka o javnom linijskom prevozu" is available on the following link http://busevi.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=333&Itemid=46 Emphasizing the following http://www.dodaj.rs/f/1q/123/4ImhITHf/screen-shot-2012-08-30-a.png They violate regulations putting advertisements on the bus windows! It is also expressly forbidden! There is one more internal regulation, private transport companies should not have buses in traffic more then 5 years old, that is why there are all force to upgrade their fleet.
