15 czerwca 2009 - Marcq-en-Baroeul (FR) –depot/zajezdnia ELRT. The ‘Mongy’interurban tramway between Lille, Roubaix and Tourcoing in northern France has operated since 1909 and has had three distinct periods of operation. Until 1980 the line was worked by ‘traditional’ trams, dating from the early years but mostly modernised in the 1950s. In the 1980s, second-hand Duewags from the Vestische Strassenbahn in the German Ruhr district came to the line and kept things going until 1994, when the line was fully modernised and the current fleet of Breda trams arrived. Here is one of the first six Duewag arrivals, a 1955 ‘grossraumwagen’.
