3 października 2008 - Resita, Romania - Strada Traian Lalescu: Tram #17 emerges from a short, single-track section through a road underpass and continues towards the city centre. Despite working here in Resita for some years, it still displays a Dortmund destination! The tramway system in Resita finally closed down in 2011, being entirely worn out, and buses replaced the trams.

3 października 2008 - Resita, Romania - Strada Paul Iorgovici: The huge steelworks towers over Resita and forms a backdrop to Duewag tram #17 as it makes its way from the eastern terminus of Piata Republica towards the centre of the city. Services ran to this terminus every few minutes, but an extension to a village further along the same road only seemed to operate once in a long while. Noise and smoke from the steelworks always seems to fill the air in this city.

3 października 2008 - Resita, Romania - tramway depot: Like all the Resita Duewags, the fleet number was displayed in the route number blind box instead of any other visible number, a simple but effective system. All the trams wore advertising liveries, some of which were quite elaborate. This is #13 in the depot yard. .

3 października 2008 - Resita, Romania - tramway depot: Another `one generation` Romanian tramway which opened in 1988 and closed down when all the assets like track and vehicles simply became too worn for further safe operation. The Resita tramway was a single route system through the city and was unusual in that it was owned (like much else in the city) by the local steelworks company - which still runs the bus services today. To keep going a while longer when their original fleet of Romanian-built Timis 2 trams wore out, they were entirely replaced by Duewag GT8 vehicles from Germany and these provided the services until final closure. Here is car #18 in the depot yard.

12 lipca 2011 - Reșița, bulwar Republiki. Sprowadzone z Hagi przegubowce już wtedy zastępowały tramwaje na niektórych kursach. Z końcem 2011 r. ostatecznie zawieszono kursowanie tramwajów, które jeździły od 1988 r. Głównym powodem był fatalny stan infrastruktury. Na oko tramwaje sunęły z prędkością ok. 20 km/h.

3 października 2008 - Resita (RO) – depou/zajezdnia. Ex-Dortmund GT8 #18 stands at the depot ready for its next duty. The woman on the left looks like a typical Resita resident - in fact, she might be the tramway manager :-) Resita is a poor city, even though the steel works is still operating.

12 września 2009 - Reşiţa, Stavila. We were lucky - after only about 20min of waiting, tram 1B arrived and took us here :) According to timetables on Prescom website, there is no tram service to Stavila. I hope it isn't first stage of cutting off trams in this town.

29 grudnia 2002 - Reşiţa, Centru. Na przystanek zajechał autobus spełniający mniej więcej moje wyobrażenia o rumuńskich autobusach. Wysypały się z niego babule, kierowca radośnie zatrąbił widząc fotopstryka, po czym odjechał. Tak wyglądał w skrócie mój jedyny kontakt z trakcją ogumioną w Reszycie.

29 grudnia 2002 - Reşiţa, Depou. W dniu uruchomienia tramwajów w 1988 roku na trasę wyjechały 22 składy Timiszów. Po sprowadzeniu dortmundzkich helmutów poszły w odstawkę. Od lewej pozują: 4, 23 (ex86), 20 (ex7), 18 (ex4), 2.

29 grudnia 2002 - Reşiţa (Rumunia). To niewielkie miasteczko leży na totalnym uboczu kraju i potrzeba sporo samozaparcia żeby tu dotrzeć. Tym bardziej mnie ciągnęło żeby je odwiedzić :-) Wagon 12 (ex-DSW 12) podąża akurat z placu Republiki do pętli RENK. W pobliskim parku znajduje się skansen parowozów upamiętniający słynną na całe Austro-Węgry fabrykę lokomotyw.

29 grudnia 2002 - Reşiţa (Rumunia), przystanek Centru. Jaki to numer linii? 24 to numer taborowy w Resicie, 91 to dawny numer w Dortmundzie. A linia - chociaż jest tylko jedna - ma numer 2.

29 grudnia 2002 - Reşiţa (Rumunia). Jak miło dodać pierwsze fotki tramwajów z tego miasta. Tramwaje uruchomiono tu dopiero w 1988 roku w ramach programu nobilitowania małych miast do rangi metropolii (powstało wówczas 7 nowych sieci tramwajowych). Funkcjonuje jedna linia, a trzon taboru stanowią od 1998 r. GT8 z Dortmundu.

29 grudnia 2002 - Reşiţa / Resicabánya / Reschitz / Rešica / Решица. Niewielkie (83 tys.) górnicze miasto w zachodniej Rumunii. Co mnie tam zagnało? Jedna linia tramwajowa jadąca przez całe miasto :-)
