The tram should be on the Kosmonavtov St. , the line closed on 15 November 2018. in connection with the repair of Polotsk`s overpass. Now the tram doesn`t go on a site from General Beloborodov St.to the final destination in the Titov St.. Thus, the railway station and the Titova St. the repair time remained without tram traffic. Do not operate the routes of trams №№ 4, 6, 8 and 9. A large part of the traffic load, including large buses, took over the Metallistow`s overpass (on the photograph in the background on the left).

13 września 2018 - Vitebsk, Belarus: Today I will show pictures of all the works trams seen in the depot of Vitebsk tramways, the oldest system in Belarus. A few problems, though - I have no idea of the make and type of most of these vehicles and they were rather crammed in to the depot sidings, making photography difficult. This overhead line car is easy to identify, though, as it has already been listed on TWB and helpfully shows its original fleet number on the side window. I would be glad of some help to identify their original makes and types, please, as I can`t translate Cyrillic script - thanks.

13 września 2018 - Vitebsk, Belarus - COOO "Mapko": A pleasing survivor from Soviet days is this PB3 tram of 1988, which somehow looks a lot older. The Vitebsk company have kept this in full operational condition for visiting enthusiast groups.

13 września 2018 - Vitebsk, Belarus - tramway depot: A rather more sympathetic restoration is this motor and trailer tram set in the depot yard. Presumably these are 1898 originals from the first tramway line in the city, although they have lost their original identities - they were probably restored for the 115th year anniversary, then given another lick of paint recently. The system was metre gauge until the 1930s and trams like this would have come from Germany or Belgium, as the company was originally built under French ownership.

13 września 2018 - Vitebsk, Belarus - tramway depot: The Vitebsk tram and trolleybus company are very proud to have operated since 1898, making this the oldest public transport system in the whole of Belarus. Their 1934-built H Class tram has been mounted as a static exhibit in a small garden at the depot to celebrate 120 years of operation, although the paint scheme would better suit a garden shed than a proper restoration job. It`s good that it has survived, though.
